Hotel Belair General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTCs) regulate the legal relationship between you and Hotel Belair. The reservation/order confirmation or the price quote reconfirmed by you provide the basis.

2. Option dates

Option dates (quotes) are binding for both parties. On expiry of the option deadline Hotel Belair will automatically be entitled to avail itself of the reserved premises/rooms.

3. Conclusion of contract

Following your reservation you will be sent a reservation confirmation. This contract is binding on Hotel Belair only once it has been reconfirmed by you as the contracting party.

4. Cancellation of hotel reservations

Non-guaranteed room reservations will be held until 12 noon on the day of arrival. If arrivaldoes not occur by 12 noon, Hotel Belair will automatically be entitled to avail itself of the rooms.

Unless otherwise specified, the following conditions are applicable:
1 room free of charge until 12 noon.
Each additional room 1 working day prior to arrival.

Cancellations made at a later time or no-shows on the arrival day will result in the costs for the first night being charged or the credit card debited. If a reservation is in place for accommodation on subsequent nights, said reservation will automatically be cancelled if we do
not receive notification from you.

5. Groups of 10 or more

Groups as defined by the present GTCs comprise travel groups with a minimum number of ten persons booked, arriving and departing as a group. Individual traveller rates apply to groups of fewer than ten persons. There is no entitlement to group rates; such group rates may be granted by individual agreement depending on availability and demand.
Group reservations are to be confirmed in writing. The definitive list of the names of the group members is to be notified to the Hotel no later than seven calendar days before arrival. If the reservation is cancelled, the following cancellation fees are owed in principle:

• up to 30 days before arrival free of charge
• 30 to 15 days before arrival 50% of the cancelled rooms
• 14 to 8 days before arrival 75% of the cancelled rooms
•   7 to 0 days before arrival 100% of the cancelled rooms
  

6. Cancellation of seminars/banquets

Cancellations of seminars/banquets are to be notified to Hotel Belair at the earliest possible date. Cancellations will incur the following costs:

• 30 to 15 days before arrival: 50%
• 14 to 2 days before arrival: 75%
•   2 to 0 days before arrival: 100%
  

7. Terms and conditions of payment

We reserve the right to demand prepayment for the reservation in part or in full. Prepayment in full or a credit card number complete with expiry date will be required by way of guarantee for room reservations, seminars or events for which the billing address is abroad.

8. Other provisions

8.1. Damage
The customer is liable to Hotel Belair for any damage and/or losses caused by you or by your auxiliary agents or participants, without the Hotel having to prove who was at fault. Hotel Belair does not accept any liability for theft or damage to materials brought onto the premises by the customer, organiser, participants, speakers or third parties.

8.2. Applicable law
Swiss law shall apply to the legal relationship between you and Hotel Belair. The ineffectiveness of individual provisions of the present contractual relationship shall not result in the ineffectiveness of the contract as a whole. The place of jurisdiction is Wallisellen.
